About Us
The WVPA is an organization of physicians (MD/DO) trained in psychiatry. We provide assessment, consultation, and treatment services to the citizens of West Virginia with mental, emotional or behavioral difficulty. We operate in offices, hospitals, and clinics. We confer and collaborate with other physicians, mental health professionals, and treatment providers.

Networking Opportunities:
Council and membership meetings offer the opportunity to interact with other WVPA members as well as learn about new pharmaceutical solutions, new treatment options and techniques for working with patients, suggestions on how to improve your practice, and other career development activities. Meetings are held twice a year, summer and winter.
Leadership Opportunities:
Members of the WVPA have numerous opportunities for leadership roles within the association. The council and committees provide opportunity for leadership roles. We encourage members throughout the state to be involved and consider committee participation at some point in their career.
